A Tweet from the Future #trust30 Challenge – Day 30

I accepted a blogging challenge called #Trust30 in honor of the republishing of Ralph Waldo Emerson’s book Self-Reliance. Essentially over the next 30 days I will be given snippets of thoughts from which I must create something. In my case that something will be written works.

Today’s challenge is as follows:

Speak what you think now in hard words, and tomorrow speak what tomorrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said today. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Imagine your future self, ie, you 10 years from now. If he/she were to send you a tweet or text message, 1) what would it say and 2) how would that transform your life or change something you’re doing, thinking, believing or saying today?

Last day of this garbage. I apologize to readers who didn’t expect to see all this naval navel gazing. I try to keep that mainly for a personal journal. I didn’t know what to expect from this challenge and thought it was a more standard blogging challenge.

With that hoopla out of the way, let’s finish this thing.

Tweet from the future:

“We thought the robots would kill off the zombies, but they turned on us because we forgot to tell the robots there was a difference between zombies and humans. Oh, then the aliens arrived and enslaved the survivors.  The aliens and the robots are now fighting.  The real news is Twitter has increased the character limits.”

Wow… I can’t wait. Twitter messages beyond 140 characters. The future looks bright, I better wear shades.
