Toro Loco – Tinto Joven

Posted on 20 December 2009

Here is a wonderful wine that transports you to a veranda overlooking a pastoral scene with a warm afternoon sun on your face.  I picked up this wine from Whole Foods because it was cheap.  I wanted something cheap and unique. Toro Loco Tinto Joven (young red) fit that bill perfectly.

The wine’s scent fills my nose with intense juicy fruit smells that immediately makes my mouth water.  The taste rivals the scent, flooding my mouth with such wonderful deliciousness.

There isn’t a lot of complexity in this wine, it is just a joy to drink.  Definitely a wine to be shared with friends and would go incredibly well with tapas!  It has a great mouth feel and holds up as a wine to drink all by itself.  For a under $5 Spanish wine, Toro Loco Tinto Joven earns its place in my collection of wine.
