Embedding Google Waves into WordPress

Posted on 16 December 2009

WARNING EXPERIMENT IN PROGRESS

In order to see this, you will need to have a Wave account and be logged in.  Otherwise you might only see a part of the Google Wave login screen.

Here is the thing, I’m using a WordPress plugin called Wavr.  This is a beta plugin, and I’m finding it a bit clunky, yet it does the job at the end of the day.   This does beg the question if the Wave itself is just a duplication of effort.  What can be accomplished through the Wave that can’t be accomplished via WordPress itself?  I may be suffering from a lack of imagination, but I think really this will be an interesting tool to see a discussion on a topic develop.  It might be a tool for greater community interaction focused on a very specific topic.
